The occupiers took the bodies and buried them in the Wagner cemetery.

À l’heure où ces grandes entreprises technologiques à l’image de Google, Apple, Microsoft, META ou encore Amazon ont pris un pouvoir immense sur nos vies, nos économies mais aussi sur la politique. Avec le retour à la Maison Blanche de Donald Trump, leur influence mais aussi leur pouvoir de nuisance n’ont jamais été aussi grands.
Et ce que possèdent Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg et les autres c’est une capacité à agir sur la société, à la modeler selon leurs envies. Ils veulent créer un futur centré sur la technologie sans interférence gouvernementale ou régulations.
“Ces capitalistes sont des seigneurs techno-féodaux en devenir, déterminés à saisir l’opportunité de leur alliance avec Trump pour abattre les derniers obstacles politiques à l’instauration d’un nouvel ordre social fondé sur la projection et la manipulation des algorithmes afin de centraliser la valeur produite par le travail et d’imposer leurs lubies millénaristes”. C’est ce que dénonce Cédric Durand, économiste dans son nouveau livre “Faut-il se passer du numérique pour sauver la planète ?”
Ce qui se joue aujourd’hui est vertigineux. Puisque c’est bien la souveraineté économique et politique de la France et de l’Europe qui est en jeu. Mais aussi la désintégration du débat public par ces plateformes numériques…
Cédric Durand propose dans son livre, une voie pour dépasser l'anxiété, sortir de l’impuissance et opposer une alternative à ces géants de la Tech.
Le tout, sans oublier l’urgence écologique, que l’on ne prend que rarement en compte quand on parle de la révolution numérique en cours. Pourtant, la part du numérique dans les émissions de CO2 mondiale devrait passer de 3,5% en 2019 à près de 9% en 2030 ! La demande de métaux pour l’ensemble des technologies numériques a explosé tout comme l'extractivisme minier extrêmement polluant.
Alors comment résister face aux Big Tech ? Comment peut-on se réapproprier les technologies démocratiquement ? Et comment mobiliser la technologie pour construire une société émancipée et tenter de résoudre la crise écologique ? Réponses dans cet entretien de Paloma Moritz avec Cédric Durand.
